A story for you…
Born with a song in her heart, Little Big Heart began writing songs on the piano as a child. But it wasn’t until the year 2020, brought face to face with the impermanence of life, that she asked herself honestly, “What is the one thing I wouldn’t want to die without doing?” and realized the answer was to share the music moving through her as medicine for her family, community, and the world.
First thing first, she began by facing her fear of the spotlight head on by going live on social media without any material prepared, just a shaky voice and a ukulele or guitar in hand. In this authentically raw manner, she discovered her talent for allowing herself to become an instrument of the moment. Soon after, she was gifted her primary instrument, the kīkū, which served to confirm her inclination that she was born for this calling.
She debuted as a live performance artist in the US Virgin Islands in December 2020 and was met with a tremendous amount of support and encouragement from her local community. One show led to the next, and she was locally recognized as a golden nugget.
Gathering her inspiration from the beauty and complexity of Nature, Humanity, and the experience of Being, she prays to be a channel for love, inspiration, encouragement, peace, reverence, joy, and grace to be reflected and celebrated. She regards each song as a medicine, prepared with care and intention to support somatic and psychological integration, provide an environment for the release of tension and pain, nurture our tenderness, and help us remember the truths we have forgotten.
She envisions a world where humanity learns to relate harmoniously with one another and with the Earth who supports us. She dreams to use her platform to develop sustainable community homes to serve as healing sanctuaries for individuals recovering from physical or mental illness, addiction, and grief, as well as provide natural, holistic education programs for all ages.
